Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- First day performances of the 28th April Spring Friendship Art Festival were given before full houses at the Ponghwa Art Theater, the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre, the Central Youth Hall, the music hall of the Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun Conservatory, the Yun I Sang Concert Hall and the Pyongyang Circus Theater on Thursday. Performers included art organizations and artistes from various countries such as Germany, Belarus, Austria, Italy, Finland, Mongolia, Vietnam, India, Japan, Indonesia, Armenia, Malaysia, Egypt and the US Overseas Korean art troupes also gave performances. The Chinese art troupe (song and dance ensemble of the Chinese People's Liberation Army) raised the curtain with immortal revolutionary paean "Song of General Kim Il Sung". It presented Korean songs "Sing, Fork to Mangyongdae" and "Footsteps" and other numbers. The Chorus of the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory presented the immortal classic masterpiece "Nostalgia."
